I really like the Stars app. Works so much better than the apps from competing channel. Many of the others have issues resuming from background but this app had been nearly flawless in that regard. I did have a few minor playback issues but was able to resolve them by downloading a local copy of the video (an awesome feature on its own).

They need to work out something with Comcast - customers are paying for Starz

So I have a subscription to Encore but cant use the app because they have integrated it with Starz which I dont have a subscription. So what must I do to use Encore I have to subscribe to Starz. This is why people hate cable companies and companies like Starz.

If i am already paying for Starz on Amazon Prime then how can i take advantage of this app without having to pay twice?

This app is terrible! If youre lucky youll get 15 minutes into a show before the video freezes. The sound doesnt stop, but you never know if the video will catch back up or youll spend the rest of the episode looking at a frozen screen. Its taken me 2 hours to watch a 1 hr episode with all the stops and starts and I know its not my connection.

It is clearly a money issue. It always is. Starz needs to be able to give Xfinity an affordable option to give current Xfinity customers access to stores as it does to all other channels apps. I pay $270 per month for my cable service so shame on you Xfinity. And starz its time to put your big boy pants on and find a solution.

You just launched this cool streaming service that I can watch as a Comcast/Xfinity customer but then you drop support and want me to pay 8.99 ridiculous Comcast pays you a lot to carry your channels and you drop it please fix by adding Comcast back.

I assume Starz hired a few kindergarteners to write the lastest version of this app. And you know what they got what they paid for too - crap period. If you think Im paying for your service again youre company is nuts what stupid idiot decided to drop Comcast dont care whos at fault put it back or Im dropping Starz from my Tv.

Im paying for Comcast/xfinity and cant use your crappy app

The new app has more movies available BUT many of the really good ones are locked unless you add Starz to your cable package. Dont these people make enough money? Come on, Starz/encore, most of the locked movies are shown on Encore anyway, so how about giving us a break?

Cant log in to starz with Comcast any more whats going on.. Its a nice rainy night I wanted to watch a movie and now I cant

Quits streaming over the air and on wifi. Loses optics. Iffy on downloading movies. Cancel sub during first week

A lot of people are here giving bad reviews to an app they cant use cause of some problems between Comcast/Xfinity and Starz, how about you people start calling your service provider to figure this out cause it maybe on Comcast/Xfinity side. You cant rate an app if you cant use it and let me tell you this app is a thousand miles ahead of what it use to be. I love it, keep up the good work.

I have had an Apple TV for about 7 years. This new app is by far the best one, honestly better than Netflix. It runs smoothly and the design is amazing. I wish other networks had a beautiful app like this one. I honestly use starz more just because its less of headache to watch movies and shows. Obviously, access is not The fault of Starz, but your provider. So, I would go a little bit easier on them if thats the only reason you do not like the app.

Xfinity is blocking access for their customers because Starz is giving us the choice to watch Starz how we want. "Comcast Wont Authenticate Subs for New Starz App ". Im done with Comcast - I changed my tv provider last year and this app works perfectly. Love the download feature!

For some reason I cant get the app to play the correct episode of The Girlfriend Experience. Season 1 Episode 1, thats all I ask but it refuses and plays episode 2 instead.

I subscribe to Starz through Amazon Prime, however they are not listed as a provider in the Starz app and I still have no way of watching Starz on my Apple TV. Even Showtime lets you log in with Amazon through Showtime Anytime! Also no way to contact customer support?? Come on Starz!

Dont waste your money as I did. Unable to watch. Kept asking for pin which they never have and unable to reset. Im cheated.

Id like to review the Starz app, but cannot access it even though I have Starz in my Ditectv package! I have just spent the better part of an hour with tech support going around and around, but nobody seems to know what the issue is. So, if anyone wants to access this app through their Directv account, good luck. We pay for the programming, but cant use the product. How about that for customer service?
